How we raise the cattle
Healthy milk starts with healthy animals. We don't outsource that to a label — here's the actual routine behind every NarvoMilk bottle.
Oxytocin injections are the dirty secret of the Indian dairy industry. They force cattle to release milk on a clock that doesn't match their biology, and they shorten the animal's productive years by half. We don't use them. We never have.
The daily routine for the herd
- Organic fodder — a mix of fresh green grass, dry fodder and farm-grown roughage. No concentrate-only diets.
- Clean water at all times, refilled twice a day, sourced from the same borewell that supplies our staff kitchen.
- Daily wash before morning and evening milking — for the animal's comfort, not just hygiene.
- Vet visits every two weeks; vaccinations are scheduled, not reactive.
- Shade-covered sheds with proper ventilation; no concrete-floor pens.
“If we treat the herd like a factory line, the milk tastes like one. We've seen it. We refuse it.”
Our cattle yield less than they technically could — about 20% below the regional average. That's the trade-off. The milk you taste in a NarvoMilk bottle is the result of a cow or buffalo that lived comfortably the day before, ate real grass, and was milked at her natural pace.
You can visit the farm any morning — we don't run tours, but we don't turn anyone away. Most of our long-term customers have stood at the gate at least once and watched the morning routine. That's how they know.

No preservatives — what we actually leave out
"No preservatives" is on every milk pack now. We think it's worth being specific about what that means at NarvoMilk, and what it doesn't.
